First off, I'd like to let the world know..
MY SON'S AMAZING AND AN ANGEL!!!
And that he's doing REALLY good at night!! **knock on wood** Last night he went to bed around 11:30ish, woke up once while I rocked him back to sleep, not hungry - just a little fussy. Then woke up hungry at 5:30 AM!!! How crazy is that? I would consider that only waking up ONCE! Cause that time he woke up fussy he took him about 5 seconds of being held to go back to sleep.. I'm thinking I am one lucky mother! (wow that kinda sounds like I'm about to cuss.. haha.. sorry..)
On to our adventures today.. Adam had the day off (thank goodness!!) and we had 2-week appointment for both Cayden and me! His was first and let me tell you I was SO nervous for him!! I thought they were gonna do shots and the PKU test! But it was just the PKU test which just by itself is scary enough!! But after weighing him (8.1 ounces - 40th percentile), measuring his height (21.5 inches 74th percentile) and head (50th percentile - PERFECT head, considering he had a cone head) the doctor came in and checked all his stuff (eyes, ears, etc.). The nurse said we have a Tall Skinny Baby :) and thats exactly how he looks! Then the nurse came back in and did the PKU test and I think Cayden knew something was going to happen cause he started whimpering almost! He's so cute.. hehe.. And then I held him like i was going to burp him and she pricked him.. No crying.. Started to fill those what seemed like seven HUGE circles with his blood.. No crying.. We get to the 6th circle and he starts fussing.. (If I haven't written this, my son doesn't cry unless he's EXTREMELY hungry or REALLY wet.. So he rarely cries.. and his fussing times are very quiet compared to babies I've heard before..) Anyway.. then he calms down by the end of filling up the 7th circle.. Then we were all done!! :) The nurse was quite impressed with our wonderful calm laid back baby! We got really lucky with our son!!
Then we went down to the Lehi Costco (where Adam used to work) to show off Cayden, have lunch and see if there were the kind of jeans Adam wanted.. Then we went to my doctor's appointment.. She took off the Steri Strips of tape off my incision (which surprisingly didn't hurt..) then she talked to us about Birth Control.. For now I'm just going to be on the pill til we find out if our insurance will cover Mirena, the little device that will give me birth control for FIVE years.. which is about the time we might be ready for another one.. It sounds good to me since I won't have to remember to take a pill everyday!!! Haha.. So I'm on the "mini-pill."
And then after my appointment we went to Wal-Mart to look at new tires and then home.
Dinner's almost ready by our Master Chef Adam :) Unfortunately right now he's the cook of the house! But I love him! :) He's the best.. And the greatest father!! :)
Off we go..
