I have been in a great mood all morning long. Then Adam called on a break and I just broke down.. We started talking about next week and how I'm starting my crazy December work schedule.. Every December all of the workers at our work get to work 40 hours a week. No matter what, basically.. Yes I've worked this schedule before but I didn't like who I was as a mother and a wife during that schedule.. I would get 2-3 hours of sleep til Cayden woke up and then his naps were far and few between (thankfully they are back on somewhat of a schedule). I've really enjoyed who I've become with the more sleep I've gotten. I know its all about how I react and how I am in situations but sleep really does help the happiness.. Every mother knows that.. What also is getting me down is that overtime is mandatory.. and since everyone's at 8 hours, we'd be forced to stay til 10 hours are worked..
I want to enjoy this season.. I hate that I have to stress out about working during the best time of the year!!
I'm also sad that I don't get to see my family.. :( With this crazy December schedule, I get either Christmas Eve or Day off.. And most likely I'll get neither.. It sucks being away from family and yet being so close!! I can't even express how sad I am that I can't go down to Cedar this year.. I miss my family so much.. I love you guys!! :) And we'll be down soon.. I promise!
Whew.. Hard day.. Dang preggo emotions..

If it's any consolation, Logan has the same schedule. It's called "peak season." He got a week off for Thanksgiving, but he will be working major overtime all through Christmas. It's an adjustment. And I don't like it- especially this year while I'm very pregnant and dealing with 2 year olds sans a break-
But we still have a great holiday every year. It's hard not to with the kids. :) And it's harder to hate it when the nice overtime checks come in. (wink)
Love ya sis!! That kind of schedule totally sucks...it's why they need to hire seasonal help! SOME people don't want to be forced to work overtime. There's good things about it, money, etc...but that doesn't replace being able to enjoy your family and holiday season. ONE day, none of us will have to work and we'll get to enjoy life to its fullest!!
I wish I was there for you, I'd watch Cayden so you could SLEEP! Working nights SUCKS. ;). But you are an AWESOME person for going out and helping to support your family, I hope you know that.
