** After posting this, and feeling kinda defeated and wanting to cry - Cayden comes and puts his head on my shoulder and gives the kissy sound.. Awww.. **
And its not even 7 am yet..
Cayden woke up at 6 am.. and its getting really old! He's woken up before 7 for the last couple of weeks.. And with working til 4 am it hasn't been fun.. Good thing this week's my last week at 8 hours..
Anyone have suggestions with how he can sleep longer? He goes to sleep at 7:45 about and that's late for him. Our experience has been that if he goes to sleep at 7 pm he'll wake up later.. but I don't want to put him to bed so early... Oh and with his waking up before 7 am, he's been taking HOUR NAPS!!! When he used to wake up past 8, he took 2-3 hour naps.. Whats happening?!!? I can't handle this hour nap stuff either... When he wakes up at 6, I give him an extra bottle so that's going to make the whole getting off the bottle thing really hard...
But here's my deal with the bottle thing, if we don't give him one he shakes the crib so hard that I know the lady below us thinks we're crazy and beating our kid or something... He's going to break the bed. but then if we just have his mattress on his floor, he'll get up and leave the room.. So I don't know how we'll ever get rid of the bottle! Its getting kinda frustrating!!
Well.. blah! Its just one of those days...

Aw, I feel for you! The girls have had spurts like that too. Has it just been a few days- or is this becoming more permanent?
Here's a few ideas to try- get some really heavy blackout shades, perhaps it's the light that's waking him up? Or a sound machine with white noise. If he's just awake and not crying, let him have some quiet time in the morning and catch some extra sleep yourself. :)
As for naps, I make them stay in their rooms for at least 2 hours- whether they sleep or not. But if they start crying hysterically, then I run out of ideas.
Also, try the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child by Dr. Marc Weissbluth. It is my sleep bible.
Poor sleep-deprived momma! I thought I'd finally get sleep when my kids grew up, but now my grandsons wake me up early ("Grandma, it's morning time!)
