So.. Looking over finances and figuring out how much I could spend at Wal-Mart this morning, I was quite depressed to see that I would only have about 200 for groceries. So I glanced through the cupboards to see what was needed and kinda made a list.
Cayden and I set off for Wal-Mart. With my little calculator in my phone, I added the items as we went. Surprisingly they had the Parent's Choice diapers size 6 in a SMALL package. Lately they've only have had the BIG box. Which we bought one tuesday cause we needed to. (And 2 and a half weeks is too long for the box of diapers..) So thankfully being on a budget, the small package of 23 will be enough to make that big box extend the 2 weeks we need. (did that make any sense? haha...) So i'm moving along, adding things up and slipping some extra stuff in my basket that I so don't need... :) but I did it anyway.. At the end of just getting groceries plus diapers, I realized that I was only spending so far about $60-65. I was shocked - usually we can't get out of wal-mart without spending over $100. So I went and got Adam a new polo shirt. He hasn't had a new one since we were married (2 and a half years a go). He's had one new one that his brother got him for his b-day but that's it! Shocking! So I was just super excited that I could get all that for 75 bucks!! :) Go me!
Also, without sounding too haughty or trying to share my whole financial situation with everyone, I have more happy news. We are finally caught up and every single bill. we are no longer behind on any bill! The worst was our car payments. Again I might be telling too much but we haven't been able to catch up fully since Cayden was born. How sad. But now we're a-ok and on the right track to start being ON time and even early with payments and start paying more tithing and putting money in savings for a house.
Once again a long post - sorry! But I am just so excited I can't just talk to about it to Adam - I needed to share! :)

Yay for financial security! I totally know how you feel- I can't get out of Target with ONLY the stuff I need. So I decided to quit going. We don't need the shampoo and hershey's syrup NOW. So I'm hoping only going every week or two will make a difference. Budgets suck!
