number 1: Cayden can now climb UP on the couch!!! And how we have things set up half the bookcase is blocked by the couch. So the shelves that are level with the arm rest of the couch have books and CDs on them. And now that Cayden can CLIMB on to the armrest, he thinks its so fun to pull them out, look at them, then throw them. It also scares me cause he likes to stand against the back of the couch and rock. Its the cutest thing but still scary!!! :)
number 2: Cayden loves to bite! Does anyone have any ideas on how to get him to stop? I smack his mouth (not that hard don't worry..) and I've put him in his crib for 2 minutes. Is it too early to give a time out? Haha. He bit me four times in 20 minutes. So.. Any ideas?
number 3: Cayden's getting older and will start eating normal food. I'm so nervous to give him more than just tastes of our food. He's had spaghetti but it went everywhere. He's had a bite of my PB and J but almost CHOKED!!! So I'm so nervous giving him stuff and giving more "bigger" bites than the size of my little pinky finger nail. Any suggestions for that? :)
number 4: Cayden's getting older (still) and I'm nervous about him being behind in school and in the smarts area. I don't know what to do and when to help him with numbers, letters, colors, rhymes and reading... All that.. I know he's not even ONE! But I just don't want to start too late. I want him to know BIG words. Haha!! Jk! Not too early! I don't want him getting smarter than me!! Haha..
Those are my worries as of yet. There will probably be more!!! :)

We have babies the same age and all I can say about biting is flick their cheek right when they do it and firmly say "NO biting!!" I don't think they are really ready for time outs at this age. You need to be able to communicate with them so they know why they are in time out. I personally don't put them in time out in their bedroom or where they sleep because I don't want to mess with their good sleep patterns. I don't want to make them think their bed is a bad place. A corner has always worked really well with my 3 year old but again, I would wait until he is a little older. I too worry about feeding my baby big people food. I think it's just a gradual process by just giving them new stuff and see how they do with it. I hope that helps;)
Awww!! Good advice Krista!
My girls didn't ever bite...yet they did get BITTEN! So, I really don't have any advice...Krista's rocks, though! In fact, Bella got bitten today by another FOUR YEAR OLD. Totally ridiculous!
Thanks Krista!! I think I was just frustrated with the whole no sleep action on my part with the time out thing. not my brightest idea. :) But you live and learn.. I've been flicking the chin and say no biting but he thinks its a game... Fun stuff!! But thanks again! :)
I've heard people say... bite him back! Maybe that will work?? You never know... different things work for different children & parents. And don't worry about the intelligence thing... just read to him as much as you can! Right now that's the best thing! And just always talk to him... pointing to something and saying it's name, color, etc. You're really great at that though! You're a GOOD MOM JEN!!
Awww.. Thanks mom :) that means alot to me!! LOVE YOU!
They grow so fast! I'm seeing that now with our girls. I see Cora starting to do things quicker than Kayley did and it makes me even more sad that they grow so fast, even though it is so cute to see the things they learn!
