Was orientation and kinda lame! :) But hey.. I got paid for 6 hours of sitting and listening. Sweet huh? ;)
So I got a better idea of what I will be doing (for those interested in what exactly my job is..):
I am working at the Remote Encoding Center. I basically am typing for 6 hours straight. There are a processing plants that have computers who read the mail. IF they cannot interpret the handwriting of any of the addresses, they take a picture and send it to us. We, then, type what they cannot read (ie the zip code..) and send it back. And that's it. Then the next one comes up. Today the people who were actually doing the "live mail" had over half a million to do!!! Crazy!!! So I think I'll busy and people at night have a lot more mail cause after the post offices close then the mail gets shipped to the processing plants who are also open 24/7!
I'll have more about it the more I learn.. Am I allowed to speak about my job? Cause it's government?? Hahaha.. :) JK!
