Death of a Great Man!

My Grandpa Sargent died this morning in his sleep. Even though it was expected, it hurt really bad. I love BOTH my Grandpa's. They mean the world to me. It was definitely expected soon since just the other day he was seeing people and talking to them. Mom believes they were people on the other side. I know he's in a good place! With Heavenly Father and Jesus and all those who went before him, they were waiting for him. How happy he must be!

He will surely be missed! Cayden never got to meet him. That I'm truly sad about. But one day!

I have so many memories of my Grandpa Sargent I don't think I have room or time to tell them all. But here are a few.

When my family moved to Vegas in 1999, I went back to Sikeston to visit a year or so later. I got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa. I always loved their house! I caught Grandpa many times in his chair or on the couch with his head slung back, snoring like a bear. I think I even took a picture back then!

Another memory is spending the night in their front room with all my cousins. Oh, that was exciting to be able to stay up with my cousins. And their sleeping bags were nuts with the designs but oh so comfy! Then when we would wake up, Grandpa would have gone and gotten donuts (THE BEST DONUTS) with donut holes too!! I loved being there.

He also called me (this is how you pronounce it) Ja-Knee-Fer. I loved it when he called me that. It was my own little special name from my Grandpa. And Emily would be Emylee. (In my head that sounds right.)

I will really miss my Grandpa. I'm sad that I won't be able to go. I'm really thinking about flying out there! But that might be hard with the Cayden man. But of course might be worth it.

I love you Grandpa! We will always have you in our hearts and minds! Forever! Can't wait to hug you again.
