So I was supposed to meet with my Visiting Teacher last Thursday. But I wasn't feel well so we turned off all the lights and hid in our room.. :) I am not Anti-Relief Society or Anti-Church but my VT is crazy.. Here are examples..
***First time we meet, in September, she would not meet eyes with me. She was cross-eyed. She talked about how her and her husband read every night together and have since they were dating. And it was just a "I'm-Holier-Than-Thou" conversation. And she just wasn't all there.. I think maybe a little mentally challenged..
***Then the October rolls around and she calls EVERY MORNING starting the 1st at SEVEN AM!!! Who does that?? And then she called like ten to 7 the day I went into the hospital to have Cayden. The Sunday after, she just shows up. Adam answers holding Cayden and I'm in the shower. Thank goodness!! She tells Adam that she's been trying to get a hold of me since the 1st and he's like well we just had a baby.. "Oh you did?" As Adam's holding A BABY IN HIS ARMS!!! Wow.. I really think she's not all there.. She says she forgot I was pregnant.. I think it'd be pretty hard to forget how big I got.. But oh well..
***Yesterday she came a knocking at around 7:45 pm.. Knocked then rang the door bell.. Then Knocked again and rang the door bell AGAIN! And she does that combo a THIRD time.. About fifteen minutes later she calls my phone.. I don't answer it (rude I know..) THEN she calls ADAM'S PHONE!! She doesn't leave a message on either phone. So we think we're safe when ten to fifteen minutes later there's another knock and ringing of our door bell.. and these knocks aren't soft by any means.. they are so LOUD!! Considering she's the size of a 10 year old! So she does her three sets again.. All within a minute mind you..
*** Today.. She calls me from WORK! Doesn't leave a message.. 5:30 pm rolls around.. BAM BAM BAM - DING DONG! Me being home alone - I don't answer the door.. I don't care if its my VT.. She does her three sets again.. All within a minute again.. Twenty minutes later she calls.. This time she leaves a message.. "Hi Jennifer this is your Visiting Teacher. I just wanted to call and set up a time to come meet with you. I came by your house to find that you're not home." Creepy..
First of all I think it'd be a POLITE thing to do to CALL before you even TRY to knock on my door.. Its just inconsiderate to just show up.. She has no idea what my life is like or what I'd be doing.. I really was put off by this..
But no worries Mom and family, I will not be going inactive because of her. I'm just really annoyed by her. And I don't know what to do. She's just really persistent.. I know she's just doing her calling but there's a line.. and she crossed it when she started calling me at SEVEN AM! Any suggestions Sarah and Mom? Since you guys are the only ones that really read this.. ha ha.. Would it be wrong to ask for a new person??? I know that's way mean but I don't know if I can handle her.. ??

Maybe she was sent to you for a reason? Have you ever had her over for an actual VT message? Maybe you should just answer her when she calls at the first of the month (she seems to really want to be a good VT and get it done) then set up a time, meet her then be done with her!
AND...SHE may be the one in need of a friend. And maybe pray and ask for a softened heart towards her....maybe you won't be so bugged anymore.
I dont have a VT and need one! So, count yourself lucky and just embrace it :).

Hey there! Yah... I agree with Sarah. She probably does need a friend!! And you are such a nice person! Then, if she still creeps you out, call the RS president and ask if you could get reassigned to another one. They really do understand that stuff! I love ya sweetie!
