Happy Birthday Adam!!

Yay!! It's Adam's birthday!! He's 24! That old fart! He's somewhat shocked that he is that old! haha.. Considering his lovely wife :) is only 20! Crazy! Yesterday we celebrated with his parents and little brother Scott. We went to a FHE at his Grandpa's nursing home, the Veteran's Nursing Home, I believe.

Thats the pretty front of the VA hospital in SLC. But where his Grandpa was, was behind that building in a construction zone! Anyway.. So for FHE they had a guy that sings at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building come and sing 40's songs to these Veterans. It was really nice, for the first few songs! Then Scott, Adam's brother, suggested we go see their grandpa's room, cause we were putting up a picture of their family! That only wasted about 5 minutes.. Haha.. We go back and Adam and my chairs were taken! So we just stand until these workers or volunteers see me being HUGE standing and offered their chairs for us to sit. So finally after 2 or 3 more songs we sing God Bless America.

The older people were really funny to listen to. During the opening prayer, one of the men goes "hurry up.." So the guy saying the prayer starts all over. Haha. And then while the guy was singing, there were these volunteers (who were in their 50's..) started talking and these guys behind them (Veterans) go "shut up, be quiet.. shut up." They were really a hoot! And seemed a little out there! They were all nice though. As they were leaving to go back to their rooms, they all smiled at Adam and I and said hello! :) Then we took his Grandpa for a ride down to the lobby area to talk to him. When his Grandpa talks, he kinda mumbles and talks really soft. Adam's dad can hardly understand but Adam can! So he sometimes would translate for them. Then as we were putting him back to his room, Adam's dad asked if Grandpa remembered Adam. Adam bends down to his view and he's like "Oh sure I do!" It was really cute :) but then we left and ate at Chuck-a-Rama.. or how Adam calls it.. Chuck your grandma! He's silly.. I love hanging out with his family! They are really funny and crack me up! :)

Speaking of his family.. McKADE WAS BORN!! :) I wish we took a picture of him but he's the cutest thing ever!! (well til Cayden comes..) And it was so cute to hold him and to picture what its going to be like to have Cayden in my arms. THIRTY TWO DAYS!!! So after a while, McKade tooted and pooped a little, so James (Adam's brother) took and changed his diaper. Then it was Adam's turn.. He was so nervous he was going to break McKade! It was so cute to see Adam hold a baby. I've never seen Adam with a baby, just our little nieces and nephews who are one and older. At first he didn't know if he was holding him right and asked me.. :) Then I told him McKade's head should be closer to his elbow. And he slowly scooted his arm out so McKade's head was right. The way he talked to McKade and just looked at him, made me smile so big! I'm so excited to have Cayden and to see how Adam interacts with his own son. After we left, Adam kept saying how small McKade was and how he can't believe we're having one of those as well!! yep! And pretty soon too.. I love how excited Adam is!! It makes me happy that he really does want a baby!! Which I never doubted.. Just happy to be reassured!!

Last night, I had this hard contraction while at Wal-Mart of all places! So we hurried home so I could be at home if anything happened. But another one came in the car on the way home. So scary scary! Then when we got home I laid down and read to keep my mind occupied. I read for a while and then fell asleep.. So thankfully they stopped and I'm not in labor today! Especially cause its Adam's birthday!! :) And we have a birthday cake to eat tonight!! :) Yum yum!! This pregnancy is getting harder to deal with. The pain is getting worse, and I'm definitely not sleeping well at night!! But unforunately I have to work til I go into labor! Which I'm okay with, I just know its going to be hard. :)

Thursday, we have a doctor's appointment and I get to see if I'm dialated!! I'm excited to find out, but not excited for the process of which I will be finding out!! Not fun WHAT so ever.. :)

So it definitely feels like a Monday! and I need to get stuff done today, as much as possible with the pains I'm having.. I love working here and knowing that they understand and love me! hehe.. This friday they're throwing me a work baby shower.. Mostly just food and a big work present!! And I'm excited just to visit with everyone, oh and not answer the phone for an hour! yay! Woohoo! But anyway.. Its fun stuff.. I best get going and working (as I yawn..)!!
